Electro-Mechanical Actuator Research and Development

AITHER has wide-ranging expertise in a variety of electro-mechanical actuator technologies, roughly encompassing the field of smart structures research. Working primarily with university partners, AITHER has directed research towards finding specific applications for new and innovative actuator technologies. AITHER’s focus has been towards three main technology areas, magnetorheological fluids, helicopter rotor blade control techniques, and active flow control using synthetic jet actuators.
